At the end of August, we are forced to say goodbye to summer, but welcome the return of kids-back-in-school and more scheduled routines...and of course...football! Not sure if it is now America's favorite spectator sport over baseball, but it is most definitely a sport that carries special fun around it, like parties before and after, especially tailgating! Friendship Chicken Casserole
6 chicken breast halves
2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
1 (8-ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 (15-ounce) can chop suey vegetables, drained
1 cup chopped celery
1 (7-ounce) can Chinese noodles
1/2 cup Miracle Whip salad dressing
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
1/2 - 3/4 cup chopped cashew nuts
Combine all ingredients, except nuts, in large bowl. Place mixture in greased shallow casserole dish. Cover with nuts. Bake at 350ยบ for 30 minutes. Serves 10-20.
